Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count (like Pillsbury Grands))
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
Instructions
- 1
Open biscuit can. Separate each biscuit. Use a 1-inch round cutter (or bottle cap) to punch out the center of each biscuit to form a donut shape. Save the holes — they're donut holes.

Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl or plate.

Preheat air fryer to 350°F. Place donuts in a single layer (don't overlap). Cook 5-6 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Cook donut holes separately for 3-4 minutes.
Don't go higher than 350°F — the outside burns before the inside cooks through.

While still warm, brush each donut generously with melted butter, then immediately roll in cinnamon sugar mixture. Coat all sides.
3 tbsp unsalted butter - 5
Serve immediately while warm. These are best within 30 minutes of making.

Tips
- •Work fast once they come out. The butter and sugar need to stick while the donuts are warm.
- •For a glaze instead: mix 1 cup powdered sugar + 2 tbsp milk + ½ tsp vanilla. Dip warm donuts.
Substitutions
- biscuit dough → homemade biscuit dough (but the canned kind is the whole point of this recipe)
- cinnamon sugar → powdered sugar for a different coating, or maple glaze
- butter → coconut oil for dairy-free (still brush while warm)
Leftovers
Best eaten immediately. They lose their magic fast. Make only what you'll eat.
