Ingredients

  • 24 pieces cherry tomatoes
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella pearls (ciliegine size, drained)
  • 24 pieces fresh basil leaves (small to medium leaves)
  • 3 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp flaky sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (freshly cracked)

Instructions

    Thread onto toothpicks or small skewers in this order: cherry tomato, basil leaf (fold in half), mozzarella pearl. Repeat until all ingredients are used — makes about 24 skewers.

    Fold the basil leaf in half so it doesn't flop. It also concentrates the basil flavor in each bite.

    Arrange skewers on a serving platter. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
